Salem Baptist Church is a place for people to explore who God is. Salem is a family of God's people committed to being a light in New Brighton and the surrounding communities. We enjoy worshiping and serving our Lord together while discovering what each of us is called to be and do by our Creator. Salem is a joyful place - a place where everyone is welcome and important. Our ministries are designed to address people's needs with the love and care of our God. We firmly believe that God's Word holds the keys to a meaningful and exciting life. In it God has given us the "Owner's Manual" for life and we are learning together how to make life work as God intended. This is the adventure we live together - discovering the full and fulfilling life our Creator wants us to live. You will find a genuine welcome at Salem - not condemnation. We are all discovering the joy of God's forgiveness, endorsement, and loving kindness. Come discover with us!
So why a Baptist Church?
Yes, we know the reputation. Judgmental. Strict. Negative. But we're on a mission to change that. We have no church hierarchy to please. We're building something new based on the historic Christian faith and the Bible. Together, we're creating a new kind of community where passion for God matters most.
