Salem Church Council

Salem's constitution and bylaws were amended on April 24, 2008, and a new staff and council structure was implemented on May 1, 2008.
Salem's church council now consists of five elected deacons who each oversee a particular ministry area, an elected moderator, an elected clerk, and the senior pastor. Salem members are welcome to observe council meetings, except when the subject under discussion merits confidentiality. At the discretion of the moderator, a visiting member may be invited to make a comment or answer a question.
Each Salem member may vote on major church decisions at church business meetings. Everyone who considers Salem their church home is encouraged to attend business meetings. However, only Salem members may participate in official votes.
